We keep these reports anonymous, unless otherwise requested by the submitting consumer. Only in the case of extensive documentation will we mention a company name. In most cases, we simply do not have the resources to investigate all of the reports. The important information here is the consistent story line. December 2, 2008 - Lead Link Financial - I received a call from a person by the name of Steven Anderson from "Lead Link Financial" and he told me I was approved for $5,000. I told him that I had bad credit and he said that they have "programs" for people with bad credit. He sent me a "Loan Agreement" that looked legit and all I had to do to have the $5,000 deposited into my bank account was send 6 months payment of $160.86 which adds up to $965.00 via money gram. The thing is that the company address was in New Hampshire and I was there for the Holidays and happen to drive to the address and guess what, company is not at that location. He gave me a fax number to fax the Agreement in California but supposedly their office is in New Hampshire, then he tells me to wire the money to a Tanya T. Watsonn in Edmonton, Canada. I knew this was a scam but wanted to see how far they where willing to go with the scam.

December 1, 2008 - Fairway Financial - My experience was with FAIRWAY FINANCIAL with a guy named KEITH FOWLER and they told me that i was going to be able to take care of my unsecured debt and that i was approved for a $20,000.00 loan but i would first have to send the first three months in advance in a money order since i did not own a home or have a co-signer. So the day before i was getting ready to send them the money order i called just to kepp up and make sure everything is ready to go he was a little mean with me on the phone so thats when i decided that somethings not right and thank god i got on this website to read through the scams first because you guys actually saved my life.....So thank you!

November 27, 2008 - Clearview Lending - They had me moneygram $750.00 to a private individual and then advising I would have my loan amount of 5000.00 deposited into my accoutn before 5pm the following business day. Then at 2:30 they called to advise the required another 5 months in advance before I would receive my loan. I asked for a refund and they saud I would be granted a refund by Dec.15 of 2009! Don't trust them for anything I dealt with Samuel Jamison - even the faxed documents looked legit but were far from it. Their # is 866-504-3148

November 10, 2008 - Oakdale Lending Group - DO NOT trust Oakdale Lending Group. They said I was approved for a $12500 loan that I had applied for. They wanted 7 months of collateral payment which was $1680.00. Now they call me and tell me that they want another 7 months. BIG RED FLAG. I sent the first $1680, not thinking since this was the first loan I applied for. Needless to say, I got screwed. Now I am trying to figure out how to get my money back.

November 9, 2008 - Century Lending Solutions - I was scammed by Century Lending Solutions, chelmsford MA, centurylendingsolution.com Phone number 1-877- 202-1821 ext 100. They said I was approved for a $10,000 loan, But I had to send the first 6 months payments since my credit was so bad, so I sent 1295.00 hoping to get my loan within hours. After a few hours I called them back only to find out they want another $1800.00 for a insurance premium. I said I didn't have that kind of money so they called back saying the insurance company agreed to taking half of the premium. So realizing i had already sunk $1295.00 into this I was just hoping things would work themselves out. Unfortunately after I paid $950.00. 2 days latter still not receiving my money, I called phone busters and the local rcmp to put a complaint in. I had to cancel my bank account, call the SIN number in to red flag my account so no one can use it. And I also called equi fax to report this scam so they could red flag my account. Since they had all my personal information. Now I am out $2200.00, and when I called back to question them about there location, and what kind of business they were running the guy said well our address and information is on our website, he couldn't even answer the question properly. They told me they would send my money back to in 30 days. The money was wired to them through money mart or a postal service to manitoba, canada. They are really sneaking and I hope they are caught so this doesn't happen to anyone else. If any company request money before the loan is distributed it is probably too good to be true now I am paying for that mistake.

November 5, 2008 - Clearview Lending Services - I too received a call just like everyone else on this page. I almost fell for it, but my husband and I decided to do some checking. They told me I was approved for a $5000 loan at 6% interest rate and my payments would be $151 and change a month for 36 months. They stated I would need to send $911 to secure the loan and a payment would not be due until June of 2009. Do not fall for this company. I searched the address 7335 sand lank rd, orlando, fl 32819 and found the actual address is West Sand Lake rd. However, Clearview is not listed as the company. I searched the phone number 866-504-3148 and got no results. I searched the fax number 407-650-3400 and found it is a unpublished landline on East Anderson Street in Orlando. Beware of this company!

November 4, 2008 - Morton Lending - Mr. Sam Rice called me from a company called Morton Lending Group (1-877-845-9574)on 10/31/08 @ 1:40 pm while at work. He told me that I was approved for a loan but I needed to call him on 11/3/08 after 11am so he could give me all the details and payment plan and interest rate. I knew then there was something wrong with this, but I wanted to get as much information from his as possible so pretended I didn't know what he was going on, So I called on 11/3/08 at 12pm and recording request me to say my name before the call was transferred to Mr. Sam. Once I gave my name he pick up the phone and tells me that I was approved for a 5000.00 loan, But I first needed to send him 895.44 as an initial security payment to receive this loan, I knew this was a scam, I asked him what he need to get besides the money and he told me, he needed a copy of my license, pay stub, bank statement and voided check. I asked him if I could have this in writing first, so he faxed me over a fake loan paper that he wanted me to sign and send back with all the paper work. Mr. Rice told me that I had seven days to send the money or the application would be voided. He said that once I send the money, with-in 24 hours the 5000.00 would be in put in my account. Of course once he send me over the contract, and he never heard back from me again.

November 1, 2008 - Pioneer Lending Resources - I was contacted from Pioneer Lending Resources 18883339776 stating that I had been approved for a $5000 loan. We faxed them over a copy of my drivers license, social secuirty card, and latest paystub. They asked me to moneygram them over a $600 depoist for the first four months payments, how stupid of me, but I did, and of course as all other stories, it was to Canada. The money was not depoisted into my account and when I called back they stated that they needed an additonal $600, again, I obliged. The money was never deposited into my account when I called to speak to Lindsay Price who was my direct contact she was either on break, in accounts payable, or no one by the name worked there. When asked where my money was, it is was either stuck in the Caymen Islands, or the computers were down. The man that answered the phone would speak to me in a normal voice or would then speak to me in an Indian accent. When I called there for two hours straight Lindsay finally got on the phone and asked me why I was so hostile, when I told her she was an idiot for even asking me that question her response was "I'm an idiot? Your the one that sent over the money." Everyone in the background was laughing. There has to be something I can do about this.

October 21, 2008 - Bradford Lending Group - Thank god I read your article first! I have been contacted by 3 different "Lenders" all saying I had been approved, but I would need to pay for "Credit Insurance" as a security before the funds could be disperse. These are: Bradford Lending Group, First Choice Service, and Atlas Funding Group. They all claimed to have recieved my application from your site direct lending solutions. Admin notes: They certainly don't get applications from us. These crooks work together and tell these lies in order to win your trust and steal your money. Don't send anyone money for a loan! If a loser tells you to send them money up front, and tells you they work for our company, report it to us immediately.

October 20, 2008 - Bellwood Financial - A company called Bellwood Financial from Ft. Lauderdale Florida almost got me.Some of the same stories I've been reading alomost happen to me, a guy by the name of Jeff Blackburn said I was approved for a $8000.00 dollar loan and sent me loan documents that looked legit. Even though I was sceptical about this I sent the $1210.00 dollars he requested so that the lender could buy an Insurance policy on it, well about 5 minutes after sending it he calls me back and said Mrs. lisa Cohen is unable to pick up the money and could all call Money Gram and tell them that I know this person to release the funds....Right then is when I realized I was almost scammed, when I called Money Gram she asked me did I know this person and when I told her know she told me the scam and man do I ever thank her for not letting that money go through, here's the sad thing these kind of people are going to hell over a money scam. Don't respond to Bellwood Financial or CharterFinancial Group.

October 20, 2008 - Brockwood Lending Group - I was informed by Brockwood Lending Group in Wichita, Kansas that I was approved for a loan of $25,000. I was asked to send $1980 for the first 5 payments and the money would then be wired into my account. Moreover, I had to send the funds by moneygran to Canada. Haha!! Once I had sent the funds I called Mr. Josh Evans and gave him my reference number to which he said my funds would be available after 5pm that day. Well 5pm and no money. I called back to then have Josh Evans tell me he no longer had my file and I needed to speak to a Mr. Craig Noble in customer services. Mr. Noble explained there was an issue with my credit and I needed to send another 5 payments ($1980) and I would have my funds immediately. So like an idiot I sent the money and no funds were sent. Now I'm told I need to pay $1080 more for insurance, so I did. Well here it is a week later and I'm out over $5000 and NO LOAN!!!!! Be careful of Brockwood Lending Group 877-576-7475

October 11, 2008 - Rothwell Financial Group - This place is supposed to be located at 10400 Linn Station Rd., in Louisville, Ky., the phone number is 1-877-621-3149, the scam is that they solicite A loan via the telephone from A guy named David Mithchell, (proabably an alias), and he sends fake loan documents, you sign them send A photo copy of your I.D with the documents, to A (502) 415-7581 (which is a Kentucky area code)? then he calls back, and ask you to send money via Money Gram the amount asked for in my case was $910, they know how much it cost to send exactley, I sent it to a Sandra Blundell in Halifax nova Scotia, Canada, after i sent the money I called this David guy back, and gave him the confirmation # on my receipt, I satrted calling him the next day, every hr. on the hr, while checking my acct. for the loan funds that hadn't arrived, after my last call at which time I asked to speak to someone in the accts. dept. this other guy name Peter Rolen called me, and said "that I would have to send another $900 as insurance to secure the loan", and that is the scam I told this Peter guy that I am goning to report him to the F.B.I (after all that is why they exist to investigate such crime, and after checking with the (BBB) in Louisville they had complaints about this company, and quite frankly the company didn't even exist, so please be careful when giving your personal info out, and who you deal with, cause you never know.

September 28, 2008 - Colossus Credit Lending - I was scammed by a company called Colussus Credit Lending, inc. I spoke to a lady named Leslie Valle and she said I had been approved through a private lender for 5000.00 with a rate of 8.5% for 60 months. I was told that the lender would need to know that i was trustworthy due to my recent bankruptcy and bad credit from a divorce. I would have to send 5 months in advance which was 511.00 and the money was guaranteed in my bank acct within 24 hours. I told her i needed to be sure of this because the money was my house payment and i had to have the money back. She said i was 195 % approved and i would have my money the next business day. I went to Walmart to moneygram the money and i had to use a red form (which is sent to an individual not a business form which is blue) I also had to call her with the sending information once i arrived at walmart. She said she would stay on the phone with me until i gave her a confirmation number. When i found out the money was going to Canada it thru up a red flag to me and the associate and we called the bbb which they had no record of this company and then i called the ftc and he said it was a scam. The loan rep assured me that they were just trying to scare me and for me to tell them it was a personal matter and for the associate to just do her job. Thank god for her, i did not send the money and after reviewing information on the computer, reverse lookup, the address was legit but not for this company, the phone numbers her and her manager called me from where disconnected when you called them back but the toll free number still works today and that is 888-249-9291 ext. 245/242 in case anyone wants to call them and tell them how low down they are. I had already signed my disclosure and gave out my bank info and a copy of my licence via email. I had to call everyone and let them know what was going on and I even called the police dept in Portland Maine were the company was supposedly doing business. I contacted the postal service and even business in the same building as the address. If you have this happen to you before sending money please check it out. I can't believe there are people so bad in our world and when you report it, the authorities act as if they can not really do anything about it. What is up with that?

September 25, 2008 - Brunswick Finacial Group - I do believe I was definetly scammed after reading your website. I have been working with company named Brunswick Finacial Group out of Duluth,Ga. I wired them 1710.00 for a unsecured loan of 5000.00. I have yet to get approved with not so bad credit after being told I was approved 2 times. Jason Hampton of Brunswick financial called me back today to tell me I was approved for yet even more money, 10,000, but only if I wired them another payment of 1,018.00, but to a different lender. I told them okay, I will do that, but I would call him back tomorrow morning to get the imformation as to where I needed to send the money. I would like to know what in the hell to do to bust these assholes.

September 25, 2008 - Focus Lending Group - During the first week of August 2008, I had applied for several loans on line and received a phone call from a piece of slime who identified himself as Michael Borland, from Focus Lending Group (888-666-1538) who "had received my application" and I had been approved for a $5000 loan at a reasonable interest rate and repayment schedule. In a tight squeeze, and forgetting the adage of "if it sounds too good to be true, it is" I filled out the forms that he faxed to me, and was required to send the first 5 payments up front. Like a dummy I sent $785 + the wire fees, to a Nina S. Byrd in Ottawa Canada. Needless to say, it was a scam. The phone number to the company was disconnected by the next day and their website focus-lending.com no longer responds to inquiries. No mention was made of the Canada connection until I was at the bank sending the wire. Mr. Borland stayed on the line the entire time until the wire was sent. The address on the paperwork - #10 Middle Street Bridgeport, CT - although an actual building, was a 16 storie office building that had never heard of them. I had checked the BBB and found no complaints, although they did have a report on file with no comments. I have since filed a complaint with the FBI, BBB, local authorities, etc, although it will never do any good.

September 19, 2008 - Universal Alliance Corp is a major scam. They tell you they are in Ashland, KY but the address they use is false and they are in Pickering Ontario, Canada. Jenna Warman, Chris Dartman, Sarah Garwin and Doug Bayliner are the main people with this company. Their phone number is (866-366-9633) PLEASE BE CAREFUL they got me for $3000.00.

August 25, 2008 - Atlantic Capital Resource Center - I was just scammed by a company called ''Atlantic Capital Resource Center'' I was filling out loan applications online desperatly trying to get aloan to get out of debt. My applications some how got forwarded to this company and i requested 12,000 and they e-mailed and said i was approved 15,0000 and assigned me to a loan officer named David Taylor EXT 253 ph 1888-333-5188. They faxed me the loan documents and stated i needed to make 5 months the monthly payment up front and not have a payment until the 6th month of 296.00 with a 7% interest rate for 5 years. They stated if i can't make the 5 months advance then i could make 2 months which i had to wire in a money gram $592.00 to a guy name Leonard Roberts in Newy York. I called the Money gram customer service and they stated that the money was pick up in Austell GA at 5:00pm and my money was supposed to be here today and never came. PLEASE WATCH OUT FOR THIS COMPANY!!!

August 16, 2008 - Equistar Financial Group - out of Waterbury, CT is a scam. There phone number is 1-888-623-2142. They will fax you forms and request money up front and will not give you ANYTHING in return. They will even hang up on you after they get your money. Just thought someone needed to know. Admin notes - Do not confuse with the legitimate company called Equistar Group. The scammers have used Equistar Group's legitimate name (by adding the word ' Financial' in the middle) to make their operation seem legit.

July 28, 2008 - Amerilife Financial Group - My wife and I were desperate for cash (with poor credit) and applied for a few online "pay day" loans in July of 2008. Someone must have found my information on the internet, they contacted me and told me they could get me a loan for $5000 thru a private lender. My wife and I discussed this and decided we should move forward. I contacted the "loan officer" the next day, the name she gave me was Pamela Steeles and the contact number for her company 'Amerilife Financial Group' was 866-203-7543. She informed me that since my credit was poor, she would need $787.50 to be wired to the 'lender' up front for the first couple months payments (covering Aug - Sept).I didn't remember her telling me this the previous day when we spoke, but she said the money would need to be wired to assure my loan would be put into my checking account the following day by 2pm. I told Pamela I could not come up with any $$ until I got paid later in the week, this seemed to make her more pushy, she said the loan was a "1 time deal and probably wouldn't be available from the private lender that late in the week". My wife and I were worried if we waited until then, we might not get the loan, my wife even contacted the so called company and it was like pulling teeth to get someone there to give her a company website. We wanted to make sure it was legit, the documents Pamela had faxed us seemed to be in order, and the site they sent us to also looked real. We went to a Walmart near our house and used MoneyGram to wire the money to a person in Canada (Pamela claimed this was the lender) by the name of Lance F Letrelle, Pamela stayed on the phone with me up until the money was wired, she needed the confirmation number, she said we would have our $5000 loan sent to our checking account the following day by 2pm, it never came and now we realize we were scammed, we just don't want this to happen to anybody else in the same situation as us. We borrowed a portion of the money we wired from a family member, and I feel like a jackass, i'm interested to see if Pamela contacts me for more money, I left her a message when the money never arrived.

July 2, 2008 - Prime Trust Sources - I thank you for your website. I was desperate to acquire a debt consolidation loan and was contacted by Prime Trust Sources. They promised me $5000.00 unsecured loan and all I had to do was Moneygram $960.00 to them for the first six months payments and my first payment would not be for 6 months. I requested a copy of the contract which they immediately e-mailed to me however red flags went off after reading it. Previously being in the finance business myself I was aware of certain verbage contained in a financial contract. This contract was vague with no name of Lender. When I asked the "loan rep" he stated that he could not get me approved through a bank however he found a "private lender" to lend the money. I told him I was unable to send in the whole amt and he said he would talk to the lender and see if they would allow a partial amt to be sent in the first day and once I received the $5000 I could wire the rest. I asked why they could not take it out of the proceeds and he stated that it was just not done that way. I checked the Better Business Bureau for Rocky Hill, Ct which had the listing however the type of business was Loans - Scam. I checked Prime Trust Solutions out of MI and they also have a scam running out of Ct and MI. I was lucky I listened to my red flags and Mama's voice "If it sounds to good to be true it probably is." Good Luck to all of you.

June 28, 2008 - Highland Lending Services - In May 2008 I was told by a Gentleman named Kevin Edwards from Highland Lending Services that I was qualified for a $5000 Loan but I was supposed to send my first 6 payments upfront ($910). I sent that money to a Lady name Tracy Delano located in Winnipeg, Canada. the next day I got a call from another gentlemen named David and he told me that because of my Credit situation the lender required another 6 month worth of payment. I explained to him that I do not have the money and that I would prefer to have my $910 back. He said that they will send me the moeny back by May 31, 2008. Since after that date I ave been trying to call them (888-265-0057) and when dialed the number it just say "Good Bye". Now my situation is even worse cause I send them my rent money knowing that I was going to have a loan and now my car is scheduled for repossession and it is just a living nightmare. Anything you can do to help or to help stop those people from hurting people like that will be appreciated. Thank you

June 21, 2008 - At the end of May, I located a name online, trustloaninvestments@yahoo.com. Since my credit is bad, I contacted this party. The person who responded is named Alex Walter. I completed the loan application and sent $100.00 via Western Union. I had to provide a question and answer to Alex so he could pick up my money. He was then to wire $3500.00 to me via Western Union. Needless to say, I have received nothing. Alex claims that he tried to send the money but was told he could not send the amount of $3500 at once, he would have to break it into 2 payments, so then he told me because of this, I would have to send an additional $50 if I wanted my loan. I asked for the $100 back, to which he agreed to at first, but then claimed that his "boss" refused to pay the Western Union charges. I have been emailing him requesting my money back, but he ignores my emails. He will occassionally respond stating that if I send the $50, he will send the loan. The money was sent to Nigeria. Please find a way to stop this person.

June 2, 2008 - Conquest Financial Group - After a few rejections because of my messed up credit, I received an email from Conquest Financial Group at www.conquestfg.com (website has been taken down). The email stated I was approved for a loan for 8000 and to contact a Gail Bowden for more info. She was my loan officer. I called the number which I unfortunately deleted out of my email contact list due to anger. Anyway, I called her and was told several times she was unavailable. when I finally reached her, she told me I was indeed approved and gave me an interest rate like 8% and I was floored and happy. My vehicle had just be repoed and I needed to get it back so this 8k was going to not only satisfy the 2k I needed to give the co. but I'd have some left over to wipe out the rest of my car debt and everything else. I could either have a cosigner making 70K a year, put up my vehicle for collateral which I was willing to do but Gail didn't like that. My vehicle is a 2002 and that was too bad because she needed it to be a 2003. I needed to come up with what I thought she said was 96 when in all actuallity it was 960 as a security deposit since this was a no credit check loan. I was to sign my loan documents and give her a copy of my ssn and ID or driver's license. It was Thursday and if I did this on that day, the funds would be in my account that Friday. Well, I got my tax rebate for 3k and was on my way to western union to wire them the money with dreams of paying off my car when it dawned on me. Why did these people need this money up front sent to a Shelly Conyers who would be the one picking up the money? I am happy to say that I wired the 2k to my auto finance company and got my car out of repo and went home to delete Ms Gail Bowden's contact info. They tried to use scare tactics to make me send the money--I promised to accept the loan but never did I print those documents, sign them or submit them. This all began May 20 and my last harassing phone call came on the 30th.

May 30, 2008 - Bendel Capital Corp - I recieved a call from a Lady Named Cindy McKoy Saying she could approve me for a $8000 Dollar loan at Bendel Capital Corp. All I had to do was send her a deposit to cover my first few payments so when I got the loan it would give me time befor my first payment. I sent almost $800 dollars then she called me the next day when I hadn't recieved my funds and said that I had a red flag on my credit that I would need to send another $800 just because my credit was bad (which was why I was getting the loan to clear it un in one payment)So like a idiot I send more money then she said that the lender had there funds frozen because of a credit card scam and that her company would refund me my money plus my western union fees but it would take 15-30 business days. . . I am still waiting and it has been almost two months. Cindy McKoy With Bendel Capital Corp. #1-866-731-4418 ex:213, Fax 1-800-282-9093 THIS SEEMS TO BE A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I knew then what I KNOW NOW.

May 29, 2008 - Findley lending group scammed me out of 3000.00 after saying that I was approved for an 11,000.00 loan. DO NOT send them any money!!!

May 28, 2008 - Penbrook Financial Group and Fieldgate Financial Group - There are two internet loan companies to weary of. Penbrook Financial Group and Fieldgate Financial Group. When I was scammed they were working under the names of Daniel Nash and Ben Parker. I was duped out of 3,000!! I figured it was a scam the same day but it was too late. They had already picked up the money at moneygram. These are the phone numbers associated with their fake company: 1-877-700-6764, 1-888-681-7964. Be smarter than me and check any and all loans company out before you do anything. They were registered on the BBB but even they had no report on them until I submitted one.

May 23, 2008 - Ellison National Finance - I followed the directions from an internet loan site for loans for people with rotten credit, but good income. Was directed to company called Ellison National Finance in Chicago and Toronto. Web site looked great. Did BBB check in Chicago and came up not good. Was no listing in Toronto, on superpages. Also could find no where company is liscenced in Canada or US to be small loans lender. Called them back, wanted 10% of loan as security. RED FLAG. Loan officer name was William Adelson. Asked BBB in Chicago for reliability report. Still in process. I did not give out SSN, pay stubbs or DMV. The phone # is 1-866-387-2360. I am not saying this is an advance fee loan scam, but if it looks like a fish and smells like a fish, it most probably is a fish. Beware, the URL was done in April 08. Also could find no listing of "copyrighted" logo. Probably best to stay away until BBB finishes report.

May 22, 2008 - JH&CL - I had sent in a security deposit of $2,041 to a company calling themselves "JH&CL" they had told me that as soon as I sent that in then they would deposit my loan of $10,000 into my bank account within 24 hours. So i sent it to them and a couple days went by and no money into my account so I called them up and they told me that I need to send them another $1,600 more I did not send that amount to them instead I requested a refund of my security deposit. They told me that all refunds are processed between the 15th and the end of the month. This was at the beginning of April well as of today may 22 I have still not received my money back.I call them at least 20 times a day and I have left over 200 voice messages and they never answer the phone and never return phone calls. So I am thinking that I am never going to get my $2,000 back.

May 18, 2008 - Highland Lending Services - I was scammed by Highland Lending Services supposedly located in New Jersey. I was contacted by a Kevin who stated that I had been approved for a $5000 loan. He stated that I had to send in $1060 to cover 4 months payments as security. So I sent the money via moneygram to a Lucy Bagley in Alberta Canada. When I asked him why was I sending the money to Canada, he stated that their economy was better and that was the lender that they were dealing with. He stated to give him a reference number and that the loan would be in my account on the following Monday, this was Friday that I sent the money. On Monday morning, I received a call from a Mr. Scott who proceeded to tell me that because my credit was bad that I had to send in another 4 months payments. I could only scrape together $900 but of course he accepted that and said that he would credit my account the $160. This was on a friday as well. Monday morning I received a call from another person who claimed to be "higher level management" and said that the loan company that they were dealing with in Canada backed out of the loan and that they were taking legal action against them, however he had found another lender who was willing to give me a $12000 loan but I had to send in 8 months worth of payments. At that point I realized that I had been scammed and requested a refund. I checked them out with the BBB and found out that this was a scam. How stupid I feel. I gave this company every dime that I had. Now it will take me months to get caught up on my bills. My financial situation is worse than ever. They promised to refund my money on June 6, 2008. I won't hold my breath. Do not send money to this company. I plan to report them to any government agency that will listen.

May 14, 2008 - Scammers Hijacking the "E-loan" company name - I was almost taken by the fake E-LOAN scammers. I applied for a loan at E-LOAN website and was directed to Citifinancial. Citi turned me down. A few days later Ann Smith from E-LOAN contacts me and says I was approved for a $10,000 loan at 9% interest rate. She said the monthly payments would be $248.07 per month and I would have to pay a $850 security deposit to secure the loan. They told me to call them once I got to Moneygram and they would give me the information to send the $850. I found this to be strange. Why would E-LOAN want me to send a security deposit to a individual and why would I have to get the information at Moneygram. Anyway I sent them my id, social security #, bank acct # and check stub already because the loan documents looked very authentic. After calling Moneygram and seeing a warning on the Moneygram form about sending money to people claiming that you have been approved for a loan I decided not to send the money and reported the people to E-LOAN, the FTC and the FBI. Admin notes: The scammers obviously tried to use a legitimate company name again. Smart thinking to follow your gut and NOT send them the advance fees.

May 7, 2008 - Sherbourne Financial Lending Group - Brian Baldwin is who I spoke to. Phone is 1-888-625-5188 x219. Address on loan application is 801-6701 Democracy Blvd, Bethesda MD, 20817. He said I would need to wire him money from Money Gram to cover the first 4 payments.

April 30, 2008 - Principle Financial Lending Group - mike steiner, rachel conrad, carmella johson; just to mention 3 of them. 820 second ave. ny,ny....1-888-813-5721 ext 155 or 427. scammed me out of $765 plus cost of moneygram sent to a valerie fualner and picked up at a walmart in new york. bad credit loan...i have all my paperwork. no money deposited in account. beware of this company. principle financial says that these people are faslely working under their name; but, i feel co. should be repsonsible for letting this go on. i called the # today and it is still active. why doesn't the main co. do somehting about it?

April 30, 2008 - Bendel Capital Corp. #(866) 731-4418...does not exsist. I was scammed for $1,800.00.

April 28, 2008 - Sherbourne Financial Lending (sherbourne-lending.com) needed $1120 as "collateral" on a $7000 loan. They even let me send it to a name that they didn't know, as they only needed the reference number to verify that the money had been sent. Once they confirmed that I was supposed to go back and change the name on the wire. I wired that, then they called back saying they needed an additional $1000 as an "insurance policy". I told him I knew he was trying to scam me. He offered to send me a letter of guarantee. He was baffled when I told him I didn't know him or his CEO so his letter wasn't important. Thanks to the letters I read on here I figured out he was just trying to get more money. I have to go back to Moneygram today to try and get the orginal money I sent back. Their number is 888-625-5188. They are located in Bethesda, Maryland. Admin Notes: As of April 30, 2008, the site you mentioned in your email to us appears to be down, or no longer exists.

April 18, 2008 - Horizon Lending Services (Chicago) called me after I filled out a online loan application. Said I would get $5000 if I sent them $900 for the 1st four months payments. Robert Davies was the name given by the caller. Didn't do it and I reported him to the Illinois authorities.

April 4, 2008 - Great Trust Solutions - I have been trying to get a loan, and of course because of my bad credit, no loan company will approve me. Then I get a call from 2 lenders saying my request for $10,000 has beed approved. The first was a scam and I new it right off the bat, as he told me he was in Edmonton, Canada, but when I called back, the person that answered initially said they were in Calgary. Anyway, I immeditately hung up the phone. Ironically that very same day, I get an email from "GREAT TRUST SOLUTIONS" located in Portland, Maine. Their number is 888-876-9866. Address is 4 City Center, Portland, Maine. When you call there is a recording that asks for your name, not a live person and then proceeds to transfer you. I asked for the person who's name was on the email, his name was Jeffrey Minor, at ext. 398. He explained that because my credit was bad, he found somebody (a private party) that would fund my loan, but I had to pay 4 months upfront to secure the loan, as a "down payment", so to speak. I said how may I send it, and he said Moneygram. I was skeptical and had him send me over the documents, and I looked them over, they looked extremely professional and legitimate. However I decided to investigate further. I looked them up in the BBB website, nothing listed. I looked up their website and it was created in March of 2008, and good until March of 2009. I even called 411 and asked for a listing with the name, and they had nothing. I looked up the address and it belongs to a real estate company. I called him back and told him that I read several articles about this loan scamming, and he said that he understood, and I'm not the first that has ever questioned this, but they are in fact a legitimate company and I can forward the documents to any attorney and they would claim it to be legitimate. I'm so glad I didn't send them anything. Thank you so much for posting all of these stories.

April 1, 2008 - Wharton Resource Group - I just got scammed. The company name is so called "Wharton Resource Group". You can look them up online. They told me that I was qualified to get a $30,000 loan and that it was gonna get wired into my account but first I would have to send them $1000.00 for Insurance purposes. I sent the money through Western Union and I got ****** over!!! Excuse my language but I am so angry! How can I get my money back? Or will I be able to get my money back? Please email me ASAP I would really appreciate it.

March 25, 2008 - Coast2Coast Loans - I applied for a loan online through a company claiming to be Coast2Coast Loans and was pleased when I was "approved" for the loans. I faxed the required info in and when I called Kim Collins back, I was told she wasn't there and that she had been in an "accident." Sylvia Washington, the woman who had taken her place told me that the company would need $975 to purchase insurance to secure my loan. Not knowing any different and assuming nothing else, I told her I didn't have $975 and she said she would see if she could get the amount lowered and I could pay the balance with the proceeds from the loan. When I spoke with her again, she said that I could send $600 via Western Union which I (foolishly) did; I received a "receipt number" over the phone from Sylvia Washington and assurances that my money would be deposited into my account by Monday morning. The Western Union was sent to a Reginald Campbell in Richmond Hill, Ontario and the company was located in Toronto, ON. When the money wasn't in my bank Monday, I called Coast2Coast and of course, no answer from anyone. The customer service answering machine stated that "Sunrise Financial" was unable to take my call as well. I realized I had been scammed. I reported this to my local police and to the RCMP in Canada as well. I just happened to receive a phone call last week from another loan agency from the landline number 416-777-7776. I don't remember dealing with this agency and so I Googled the number. Surprise! This number is associated with all kinds of scams, especially the "you won some money but send us some money first" scams. They emailed me a copy of their (quite misspelled) contract asking me for $565 as a insurance payment. They just called me and I told them no way. I will also report them to the RCMP. Guess where they are located? Richmond Hill, ON. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not. Once bitten, twice shy in this case. I will always do my homework when I deal with anyone that has to do with anything on the Internet from now on! Admin Notes: Do not confuse with similar names of legitimate companies.

March 21, 2008 - I was just wondering if anyone has heard of a loan company Jennings Homes & Commercial Loans (JH&CL) based out of Los Angeles, CA 888-256-5814? I have extremely poor credit and had applied at other lenders for a personal loan with multiple turn downs. Then I received a call yesterday from a Jesse Holiday at JH&CL stating that I was approved for a $10,000 personal loan at 8% interest for 5years. Great- right? Well, i thought so until after I had filled out all the information for the terms of my loan and gave my personal information and faxed it back, she then calls me and tells me i need to put down $2117 to secure my loan for 6months and it is fully refundable if the loan payments are on time. Ummm? If I had that kind of money then why would i need the loan? I asked her to whom and how do I send this money and she stated to a Ricky Mullen in Canada via moneygram who is the personal lender associate assigned to my loan and after it is received I will have the $10,000 deposited within 24 hours into my account. Needless to say I did not send the money but am very concerned that they have all of my personal information. The kicker is: You can find them on the Better Business Bureau site but they are not an accredited business. And that was their major selling point, being a member of the BBB. If anyone has any information about this company/scam I'd like to know. This phone number (888-256-5814) is listed on the website getafastloantoday.com which is a scam. The FTC should really start looking at these numbers and finding out who they are registered to.

March 5, 2008 - Here is a good question we received by email today. "Should I send money to a company for my loan? Why are they asking me for payment up front? I found them listed in the newspaper classifieds, so surely they are legit. Right?" Admin Notes: We tell everyone to NEVER send anyone money before a loan is made. There is no lender on the planet who will require you to do this. They will sound very nice and convincing, and really play some good mind games. Just simply don't do it. Don't waste anymore time researching for an excuse to send money. It is a scam. Period. Furthermore, loan scammers are notorious for posting classifieds in newspapers, and on internet forums or bulletin boards. Seriously, real lenders don't have to solicit borrowers in this fashion. Classified ads for a loan should automatically raise a red flag. The big loan they are promising sounds wonderful and it sounds like a dream come true. But it is TOO GOOD to be true!

March 4, 2008 - Odeon Credit Union has contacted me about giving me a loan. They want all my personal information and a payment of $800 before the loan can be approved. They want the money sent to Canada but their office is supposedly in Miami, FL. Admin Notes: We find it odd that the domain used by "Odeon Credit Union" was just registered for one year, and only registered in August of 2007. Furthermore, if you Google "Odeon Credit Union Scam" you will find other sources of information discussing this potential threat. Do not send them any money.

February 29, 2008 - Thank you for the information about these scams. I almost sent the money!

February 29, 2008 - Empire Direct Lending AND Rodney Ford Lending Company - Both of these companies wanted extensive upfront fees for a personal loan and one asked for all sorts of personal information that should never be sent to people you don't know.

February 10, 2008 - Capital Source Financial - Thanks for your website. I was just about to wire $785.00 to a company by the name of Capital Source Financial for a $5,000 loan. I was told to wire the money to Elizabeth Clark in New York. I was sent a lengthy document saying that I would receive this money the next business day once they received payment. When they told me that Elizabeth Clark would be my lender that made me question why would this money go to a person and not a lending institution. I found your website and thank god I did. Admin notes: Do not confuse "Capital Source Financial" with a legitimate company called "Capital Source". This is another case where the scammers are hiding behind a real company's similar name.

January 20, 2008 - Premium Growth Financial - This man claimed to be with a company called Premium Growth Financial 866-205-6930 x327. offered loan for $6000 & asked me to wire funds in advance $751.00. Thank God I didn't. I looked on the BBB & the company could not be found.

January 2, 2008 - Hire Financial Services - After being turned down again and again from other lenders this is what has now happened. We were called and told that we qualified for a $40,000 loan on November 9, 2007. No questions asked. We were denied everywhere else. We first had to wire transfer 10% (which is $4,000) for a security deposit and insurance. We would get our money returned after six months of probation of payments. The monthly payments were a 6% interest rate and would be $444.00 monthly. This sounded to good to be true. It also was wonderful to think that we could receive this money. We even received a loan agreement through email. We later asked if we could change the loan amount to $50,000. It was very quickly and easily accepted. This loan was to be done through a private lender. We were to wire transfer the funds (through Western Union only) to a Tiffany Covington in New York, New York. The name of the agent in which we worked with was Kimberly Walton. The business name is Hire Financial Services, their phone number is 1-888-284-8634. We asked many questions and became suspicious. She tried to assure us that she and her company were very honest and helpful. I even spoke to another woman that was to be her supervisor. We tried to locate the place of business in North Carolina. We went through the BBB, Secretary of State, the county Business License department and even Dex yellow pages. We found nothing. We asked them for some proof of their business. They could not supply us with any license, references, and no verification. They did try to fax and email us a Letter of Guarantee. All paper work did not look legitimate. We did a lot of investigating and found more fraud of the same type. We came very, very close to sending the funds by wire. We found the same fraud as this and did not send the funds. This other fraud included a Kimberly Willmont, same kind of accent, from North Carolina, and also 10% of loan to be wire transferred. Thank goodness we found out just in time!

December 26, 2007 - Scotia Capital Investment - I filled out a loan application online at their website (which appears to be gone at this time). I was then contacted by a loan rep named McKenzie. She told me that I was approved for a loan in the amount of $5000.00. I really did not want to take a loan out for that large of an amount but she said that was the minimum amount that they loaned. I was very happy that I was approved for this loan; it would make for a happy Christmas for my family of five and pay for some dental work that my son needs to have done.

McKenzie told me that because of my poor credit I would need to send Scotia Capital Investment $890.00 to cover the 4 months of my payments (security for them). She told me as soon as I wired it to them I would receive my $5000.00 directly transferred into my checking account.

I immediately wired the $890.00 dollars (it was all I had) expecting to receive $5000.00 1 hr later. Well 5hrs passed and I was still waiting for my loan. I called the company the next day to inform them that I have been checking my checking account and the 5000.00 has not been transferred. They told me that the reason they had not wired my money was because they further reviewed my credit and need me to send an additional $499.00 for insurance once they received the $499.00 the $5000.00 will be wired to my checking account. My credit is not that poor, I mean really!

That's when I knew I had fallen into a scam, I told them I did not want the loan and would like a full refund ASAP. Every time I call to inquire where is my refund? they are very rude and hang up on me. One man made is voice sound like a monster from a horror film and said 'is this that devil girl that keeps calling wanting refund?. I knew I was dealing with people that are immoral and criminal minded. He was trying to frighten me and he did. This is a terrible fraud that these folks are running. And I pray that they are caught before they take from any other families.

December 11, 2007 - Citizen Financial - The company I was dealing with is Citizen Financial. Jamie Clark was the rep. We didn't send the money but was standing in Wal-mart money gram with the money in hand. I am in school and have been turned down at least 4 times for personal loan. When I got the phone call that I had been pre approved for 15K of course I was willing to do whatever to get the loan. The contract was sent to us via fax and my husband and I talked to "Jamie" a couple of time throughout the week. On Thursday Jamie gave us Monica Gibbson in Cananda to wire the 1,500.00 to for an insurance policy. The 1,500 was the first 12 payments for the 15K loan. The remaining amount would be less the initial deposit. This "company" is in NJ. They are not listed in BBB nor Secretary of State of NJ. Admin notes: Likely a scammer's use of a legitimate company name.

December 7, 2007 - Triamerica Financial Trust - They scammed me out of 577.oo dollars calling it inusrance for a 6500 loan then told me that my loan was all of a sudden denied. I am a single mother and they took all of my money, now my daughter will have no xmas. It is desperate times and I really needed help, I thought things were going to be okay but I was scammed. I don't know how thaose people sleep at night.

December 3, 2007 - Saxtonfinancial.com - I have been scamed by saxtonfinancial.com 1866-448-8567. By Henry Eagles. I usually don't pay money upfront, but I was completely desperate. Being desperate makes one do risky things. They didn't get any more $ out of me than the intinal fee.

November 22, 2007 - Hoffmann & Steinbeck Lending Inc - I was reading your loan scam article and thought I should inform you that there is a company who's website is still up and running. I had applied with them and they said that I was qualified if I sent an deposit for an insurance preimium of 500.00. So I sent it to them, and never recieved the money. After calling numerous times I finally got through to the "loan agent" and he said that there system was down, and that they sent the check in the mail and should be here with in five business days. Well, I never recieved the check, and now the number is temporarily out of service. The website and e-mail address is still active, and the phone and fax number is still on it. So I wanted to let know that the company is Hoffmann & Steinbeck Lending Inc. also known as h&slendinginc, and the phone number was 877-267-2051, and the representitive was Curtis Nelson. I will also be reporting this to all of the agencies you had listed. I have already reported it to the Better Business Bureau. So hopefully with you help this will be stopped, and they will be shut down. If you need anymore information please feel free to contact me.

November 21, 2007 - American Finanical - I was contacted about an approval for a loan of $4,000 from a company calling themselves American Finanical. I was told to send $547.50 for an insurance policy for the loan. I called the lady by the name of Danielle Wilson and told her that I was only able to send half of that, she told me that would be ok and told me to send it to an Eric Potter in Canada. I told a friend and she told me to research the company before I sent out the money; I did and found nothing wrong. Well once I sent that money it took me about a week before I could get in touch with the young lady to inquire about when I was going to receive the funds (because I was going on vacation and that's what the money was for). I Never received the loan lost $547.50 because I was told to send the rest when I finally got in touch with someone. Never going to do that again.

November 18, 2007 - Torcorp Financial - Two weeks before the Thanksgiving Holiday, my husband and I applied for a load thru "Torcorp Financial". I thought I had done all of the appropriate checking and double checking on this company. I didn't have the greatest feeling about this company, but my husband had talked to a loan processor, David Roswell, out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He said he felt really good about the guy, and the communications they had exchanged. My husband and I are pretty desperate right now ans since I hadn't found any negative info on this company, I told him to do what he thought was best. Mr. Roswell sent all the appropriate paperwork, but I still didn't feel good about the deal. My husband was asked to send $. Big red flag. I told him not to do anything until we get more info. He said he talked to Mr. Roswell about the person we were sending the $ to. A Travis Zachary, also of Toronto, Ontario. My husband was told that Mr. Zachary was a licensed and bonded securities field officer. (There's a new one). Mr. Roswell still said we would get our money in 2 days. Well it's almost 2 weeks, and low and behold, their voice mailboxes are full, and they are not returning emails or faxes. Yes, we got %*@&. I still haven't heard back from the BBB, and are going to the FTC, and FBI!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stick to your gut!!

November 15, 2007 - Absolute Solutions - The same as above is happening to me. I am so glad I saw this site. I was going to send $1200 via Westnern Union tomorrow for a $13,000 loan. They company was Absolute Solutions, the phone number is 1-888-862-0259. I too was going to borrow the original $1200 to send to them in order to get free of credit card debt. This is so awful, so many innocent people are being scammed. Even though we know in our hearts it sounds "too good to be true," we get desperate and think it is. I am so glad I found this site. Tomorrow (Nov. 15, 2007) I would have done this.

November 8, 2007 - AMC Credit Corp., or America Credit Corp - I believe that I was almost scammed by a company called AMC Credit Corp., or America Credit Corp.Their phone number is 877-977-0023, which is untraceable. All of their emails are untraceable, and their physical address is not on file with the U.S.P.S. They asked me to wire a "Collateral Payment" equal to four months loan payments, to an individual, not a company, in Alberta, Canada. I was very lucky that the Western Union location that I went to was aware of such scams and basically refused to send the wire for me because they felt that this was a scam. So I went home and did a bunch of online research, and every red flag that they named applied to the situation that I was involved in. I can't believe how close I came to losing over $1,000.00, some of which I had to borrow from a family member

October 31, 2007 - Wellington Financial Solutions - I was scam by a company claiming to be "Wellington Financial Solutions". I recieved a call from Nadia Drake. She informed me that I was approved for a loan of 10,000, but I neeeded to send 10% for collateral insurance. She stated that another agent was handling the case and had mess up so all I had to send was 500.00 and the money would be wired in my account by noon. I did that, then she call me back and said they put a hold on the money through money gram to call and get it released. So I called and got it released and still no money. On Monday September 17, 2007 I called and she was not avaiable. I left a message and still no call back. Nadia called me on Tuesday and stated the company wanted all the money which meant me coming up with another 500 dollars. I told her ok she would have to wait until I get paid on that Friday. On that Friday when I tried to reach her before sending the money no one every answer the phone (866)803-9778. Being upset I called and left a message that the BBB will be investing them for fradulent business. Now the number is no longer working. I lost my money. Don't lose your's to these scam artists. Admin notes: Don't confuse company name with similar names of legitimate businesses. Scammers like to do this.

October 31, 2007 - A comment back about a company Qualityonelenders.com. I was also almost scammed by this company and also a friend of mine. we also had raised questions about this company sending them money for a loan? They wanted 10% of the loan amount for a "security blanket". I also contacted the dept. of Banking and the BBB and nobody has heard of this company. I talked to a Kim Wilmont who said she was based in Buffalo, New York and that they had companies based all over. My first loan agents name was a Alyssa Sampson and when I had asked Kim Wilmont where this Alyssa was she told me she was out having her second child. My friend's agent was a Victoria Williams....I also checked on addresses and one was found in Florida also a appt. building and then when they sent me a fax it had an address on it 105 Royal Rouge Trail. Toronto Ontario also looked up this address it's a residential address under the name of Jessica Anderson, with a business called Good Life Photos. The number I got was the same 1-800-641-9217 ext 22 for Kim Wilmont. and ext 301 for Alyssa Sampson and my friends agents ext. was 216. PLEASE PEOPLE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!! I HAVE THE FTC (FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION) WORKING ON THIS SCAM. Admin notes: The qualityonelenders domain was just registered in late September 2007 (a month ago) and for only one year. That is a sign of it's fly-by-night intent. Also, the loan form is not secured by SSL technology. You can tell this by looking in the address bar at the top of the browser and you will not see 'https' (with an 's'). These are all bad signs.

October 29, 2007 - Dynamic Financial Trust - I was contacted by Dynamic Financial Trust out of Chicago, IL. They stated I was approved for a loan 200,000.00. But I needed to summit 4677.98, then I had to send 2330.00, then 1688.97. Still after all that I was asked to send more. I refused and demanded a refund. Loan officer Larry Tucker stated I would receive a certified check via federal express in three to six weeks. I have reported them to FTC and BBB. I hope no one else gets scamed by these crooks.

October 29, 2007 - My daughter got an email about scams after me having done the most unthinkable. Being in a desperate financial situation, I went onto creditservices.com that prompted me to different areas; so I proceeded to go to loans and from there I went to bad credit loans and dialed 877-267-9920. This is to be the application number where the person on the other end just says hello. So on October 11th I gave the man the little info needed and he asked me what loan amount did I want and I said $2500.00 and he asked monthly how much could I pay back and I said $50-$100. He then told me that someone would be calling me back in 48hrs sometime on Monday Oct 15th.

Monday passed and I didn’t hear from anyone, Tuesday passed and I didn’t hear from anyone. Wednesday I called and repeated what was told me that I had not heard from anyone…he says let me pull your file…he said I had been pre-approved for the loan and my financial representative was Linda Bassett and he would give her the message to call and we could discuss whatever documents needed. Thursday I called again and spoke with a young lady telling her what had taken place. She told me there was record of me having applied for a loan but she shows that the application was transferred but not received, that is looked to be lost in transit. She needed to check w/her supervisor instructions on what steps to take and call me back. I had to call her back and she said that she would see to it that there was no delay, it was approved immediately but I had to fill out the application again. She asked what loan amount I wanted… I told her I was pre-approved for $2500.00. She told the minimum was $5000.00 that no one there would have done so unless new…I said ok lets go for the $5000.00. I was asked monthly what I could afford, I told her $100.00. She continued by saying my financial representative this time was Nadia Drake and she gave me her direct number 877-704-5372 (Financial Enterprises) but she had not set up her voice mailbox so I could not leave a message.

So now I’m frustrated and saying I should give this up but I needed the money. Friday I gave it a rest and called back on Monday. I kept calling Nadia but unable to leave a message so I called the main number 877-267-9920 and repeated my experience of over 1 week to a Steve Thomas claiming to be a supervisor who was apologetic and he could make things happen more expeditious. Wednesday my daughter received a call for me from a Brenda Goodwin (Financial Enterprises) asking that I call her about the loan. I called her 877-297-4977 and she told me I was approved for the loan. 7.5% interest rate. $123.68 monthly over a 4yr period and I would have to pay and insurance fee refundable when the loan is paid off of $600.00. I told her I didn’t have the money at the time but I would see if I could get it so she faxed me documents showing what we had discussed. So I borrowed the money and I called her Thursday; she told me how to wire the money Western Union and to a Susan White in Ontario Canada and that she didn’t have ID and I had to have a test question and answer…I’m a little leery but desperate. They called me about 4:17 to say it to be urgent I returned the call only to find out that the test question was placed by Publix where they could pick up the money. I called Publix told them what happened and it was corrected…I called Brenda back and I was told I should have the money by tomorrow…

I called back on Friday to report that there was no money in my account what time was it to be expected it…Brenda told me 6pm the latest but hopefully earlier around 4pm…

I called Brenda @4:20 to report there was no money in my acct but she was not available so I called Nadia who asked to let her look into it and she would call me back…she didn’t and I left for the evening upset. I called around 5:45 and was told by Michelle that she would pull my file and see what was going on only to say she showed partial payment; that I owed $200.00 more. I was ballistic, postal because I’ve borrowed money to get money and in a deeper hole than before…Michelle told me Brenda must have made an error she didn’t know for sure but she needed to check w/the lender David White, I told her my lender’s name was Susan White. Now I’m crying…she said to expect the money Saturday morning. Still crying, praying, frustrated I called again to Nadia @7pm she says there to be a mistake that the money was late processing into my account that it would be Monday, that I could call back on Saturday and tell whomever that she said it to be processed for Monday; today I have still not received any money in my account not only that I have not been able to reach Nadia or Brenda.

October 28, 2007 - Fidelity Fiancial Credit Services - I was a victom of loan fraud as well. I lost $2000. For a personal loan for $10,000. The so called company was Fidelity Fiancial Credit Services. The phone number 1-877-892-8309 is still active. I hope they capture these people, its the children who usually suffer from these crooks.

October 24, 2007 - Fargo Credit and Financial Resources - I was contacted today by a lady name Gail and she said she works with Fargo Credit and Financial Resources. Told me I was approved for $15000 and all I needed to send them first was $2250 for insurance. Luckily I found this site first because it sounds just like all the other stories I have read here so far. Here is the number she gave me to call her back 866-786-4960. Could not find them online but did manage to find them on the BBB (Fargo Credit and Financial Resources). Which was created a few days ago. They had a website listed on there fargocreditandfr.com which I checked on godaddy and it was also created like a week ago. So beware guys. Admin notes: Very smart to check registration data.

October 23, 2007 - PRIME TRUST SOLUTIONS HAS BEEN BUSY. I just got scamed by them also. Told me to send $1080.00 by money gram and they would deposit $7000.00 in my bank account. after a FEW hours they called back and told me I needed an additional $1080.00 do to poor credit history, so I sent it. I was blind and did not know much about scams or how to check on them. Now Im out 2200.00 and in a bad spot financially. These people need to be taken down.

October 17, 2007 - Thanks to your site and doing a lot of research. I was almost a victim of a loan scam. I was told I was approved for a personal loan for $8000.00-$15,000.00, but need to send 10% of the loan amount requested as insurance. This did not set well with me, so I started to ask a lot of questions. The young lady which name is Kimberly Willmont started to get upset with me, which made me even more suspicious. I asked why would I send money before receiving and final loan paperwork or information regarding where to make monthly payments. This company has a wesite qualityonelenders.com, but there is no information about this company anywhere. They claim to be in Florida, but found out the address they have on there website is an apartment building number. Kimberly told me she was based in North Carolina, but I was able to detect a Canadian accent. There number is 800-641-9217 ext.22, but rarely pick up.This is a still working number. The paperwork that was sent to me with the loan amount looked suspicious and have numerous typos. I just wonder how many people fell for this scam.

October 16, 2007 - Thank you Direct Lending Solutions for for your informative website!... It appears you've saved me from an upcoming disaster. On 18 Oct. 2007 I was going to finalize a loan by sending a 3 month Insurance Deposit of $685.26 for approval of a $5000 loan.

I asked the representative why am I sending money to your company when the purpose of my request is to obtain a loan to extinguish my current debt? The answer received from rep. was, "We've lost money in the past from customers... paying the loan's insurance money will protect you as well as us" in case of... Loss of your job... Illness... or Death... This will enable the loan to be paid-off in such an event".

I'm glad I visited this website and read the quite familiar stories of others. They gave me a 7 day deadline to submit paperwork & fee. I just called them a few minutes ago, left a voicemail message to inform my cancellation of completing the application, thanked them as well.

Below is the loan company along with contact representative:

Senior Consultant Financial Representative: Linda McGuire
Omni Lending Group 1078 Route 112 Suite 267 Port Jefferson Station, New York 11776

P.S. (I could not find Omni Lending Group anywhere via internet)

Admin Notes: You are right, there is no information related to any company using the name of Omni Lending Group on the web as of yet, but thanks to your email to us there will be now. The scammers come up with new fly-by-night company names that they can dispose of after they scam a few people, and this is apparently a new one. I am glad you found our site before sending them any money. Your experience with having to leave a voicemail is not uncommon. The scammers tend to avoid answering their phones.

October 16, 2007 - I was scammed by Fidelity Financial Credit Services their number is 877-892-8309.

October 15, 2007 - I was scammed by the Second Chance Grp, also known as Superior Financial Grp.888-803-4528. The phone number is still active. I have the contracts that they sent me. These con artist have my ss# and my bank acct info. I sent $4200 and I received nothing. I have called and they will not reply. I have also faxed letters letting them know I have reported them to the proper authorities and still nothing. I should have known better, but now I am faced with bills and the resposibilty of taking care of my family with no money. All I wanted was a debt consolidation loan. The loan was for $20,000. The upfront fees were suppose to be for insurance. I got played and now I am broke.

October 14, 2007 - I too was contacted by PrimeTrust Soultions. I have an "official" looking "loan agreement" that was faxed to me for which I would be loaned $10000 after I submit by first 5 monthly payments for a total of $1195. This company is too located in Allen Park, MI, 2500 Enterprise Drive to be exact (at least according to the BBB, their website and loan agreement).

October 12, 2007 - North Rock Lending - I am a victim of this company. They said i was approved for a loan and I sent in $800.00 and then they wanted more.

October 2, 2007 - There is a "SCAM COMPANY" out of Regal Park NY doing business under the fictious name of Warick Capitol. I too was conned into sending money for a loan that I had been promised was fully funded, I just needed to set up an "insurance account" because of my current credit status. Once the company got my "deposit" I did not get my loan. I was told that I need to deposit more money in order to get the loan funded. I asked immediately to have the money that I already sent in refunded to me. To no avail, the money was never sent back, and I tried contact the company at the number I was given everyday for over 2 months. On August 13, I tried calling again, but the phone number was no longer in service. I am cuurrently working with the BBB of New York to try and locate this scam network and possibly get my money refunded. Admin notes: We haven't heard of anyone getting their money back. The scammers are long gone with your money, and hide behind these fake organizations and phoney addresses.

October 1, 2007 - "Prime Trust Solutions" wanted $990 upfront by moneygram then they would give me $10,000.00. They are not members of the BBB and the office location that they wish for you to send the payment is a empty warehouse. They are located in Michigan, in Allen Park. I called the county and they said that the building is an abadoned warehouse!! Do NOT get Fooled!! I was lucky and didn't send them money.
